The Mob Arena is a wave-based cooperative minigame in which all players who join are put into an arena to fight against increasingly difficult mobs. Mob Arena was only ever implemented on Skyblock Classic and Skyblock Survival.
On Skyblock Survival, upon completion of 40 waves (36 playing rounds with special rounds, and 4 Boss rounds every 10 rounds), players are rewarded with either their own Player Head or a Nether Star. The Mob Arena was the only way for players to earn a Nether Star or their Player Head (before /challenges gave players their Player Head, but this too has been disabled from the 4th of February, 2025).
